Berkeley police respond to shooting in West Berkeley

At 6:55 p.m. on Thursday, Berkeley police officers responded to multiple calls regarding gunshots on 10th Street and Bancroft Way, as first reported by Berkeleyside.

Once Berkeley Police Department, or BPD, arrived, they found a “shooting scene” and contacted several witnesses still in the area, according to BPD Lt. Spencer Fomby. One man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transferred to Alta Bates Hospital, Fomby added.
