After suffering a devastating brain injury almost nine months ago during a football game, Kennard-Dale's Patrick Maloney is a high school graduate.
A Facebook post by Kennard-Dale Rams Football, displayed a photo of Maloney in his cap and gown.
Maloney had the opportunity to walk with his senior class during the graduation and he walked from the school to the field and across the stage to get his diploma.
In the post, it gave an update of how well Maloney's progress has been recently.
According to the Facebook post, Maloney has had therapy everyday in Baltimore for the past few weeks and he continues to improve with his breathing capacity.
Maloney is working to regain the natural arm and leg movements when walking. He has completed box jumps and is using the Xbox Kinect to work on some movements.
He has registered for 2 classes for the fall semester at Harrisburg Area Community College.
On Oct. 25, 2019, Maloney sustained a head injury in Kennard-Dale's 34-12 season finale win against Eastern York.
